Notification of damage to the plant and near misses

An incident that causes significant damage to a plant, its equipment or a pipeline must be notified to the Danish Working Environment Authority. In addition, an event that could have caused such damage or personal injury (near miss) must be reported. The notification must be made within 10 days after the incident.

In addition, the operator of a production installation or the owner of a non-production installation must register any near misses and incidents that have caused significant damage to the plant.
