International work

The Danish Working Environment Authority participates in international cooperation on a number of areas relating to health, safety and the environment of offshore installations.

North Sea Offshore Authorities Forum (NSOAF)

In the area of safety and health, the Danish Working Environment Authority collaborates with similar authorities in the Northwestern European area via the "North Sea Offshore Authorities Forum" (NSOAF).

The NSOAF collaboration consists, among other things, of the working group “NSOAF Health and Safety Working Group”, which aims to exchange experience and discuss various health and safety issues related to offshore oil and gas activities.

Another working group, the NSOAF's Wells Working Group, addresses issues related to well activities.

The NSOAF working groups also conduct ongoing multinational audits in the various countries.

OMHEC

The Danish Working Environment Authority has a bilateral cooperation with Norway and the United Kingdom and participates in the "Offshore Mechanical Handling Equipment Committee" (OMHEC), which deals with lifting equipment and lifting operations.

The Danish Working Environment Authority participates in a global collaboration on safety and health through the International Regulators Forum (IRF).

EUOAG (EU cooperation)

The Danish Working Environment Authority participates in the EU collaboration on the implementation of the Offshore Safety Directive through the "EU Offshore Authorities Group" (EUOAG).

The Danish Working Environment Authority participates in a global co-operation on safety and health on mobile offshore drilling installations through International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC).
